The holiday weekend produces only one double header as the rest of the teams get the week off. With two games being played, the squads involved seek to improve their current standing. The rather light schedule for the week is increased tenfold by the strength of the meeting:
(2 – 2) Mamaroneck Gas House Gang at (1 – 1) Raging Bulls
The Gang followed up their one-sided sweep the first week with two tough losses that only motivate them to do better. Chris Schneer hit a homerun for his squad the opening game as Sam Wallach was able to get 3 innings in on his debut where he struck out 7 batters. They now head to their old home field – Murray Avenue Middle School – Saturday morning to face up against another top flight squad: The Raging Bulls. These games can push either team far higher or lower in the early season standings. It will be interesting to see who goes which way.
